In May 2023, Mountain Mud was the first event of its kind to take place in the beautiful, scenic mountains of McDowell County, West Virginia.  Mountain Mud will, once again, take place in the Town of Bradshaw on May 16, 2026. This is the fourth consecutive year of Mountain Mud.

Mountain Mud will host multiple ATV/SXS/Dirt Bike events which include:

• Parade on Saturday
• Mud Events
  • Dirt bike/ATV/SXS drag races
  • Dirt bike/ATV/SXS grudge matches
  • ATV/SXS Obstacle course

We will have the Human Mud Run race on Saturday night. 

This year, we will be adding a few events to Mountain Mud. We will have Karaoke on Friday and Saturday night from 5pm to 10pm. We will also feature a Saturday Playday from 11am to 3pm on May 16th, 2026, for kids age 3 to 12. Bring the kids to race their dirt bikes or four wheelers.  

There will be food vendors at the mud pit on Saturday.  Visit the vendors page to view a current list of vendors.

Mountain Mud has been a collaborative effort with the Town of Bradshaw, McDowell County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Hillbilly’s Used ATV Parts, Ward’s Wrecker Service and the members of Mountain Mud planning committee. We have worked diligently to organize events for dirt bike, ATV and SXS enthusiasts to showcase what McDowell County and the Town of Bradshaw have to offer. 

Last year was so much fun, and the event exceeded all of our expectations. We are hoping that it will be even better this year. We hope that you will join us at Dirt bike/ATV/SXS  in May and come back to visit us often. Find out why we say
