Helmets are Required for all ATV/SXS/Dirt Bike and Lawn Mower Events
ALL participants are required to wear protective gear if the event requires it to be worn.
Vehicles that Permitted in the Mud Area
- SXS’s
- ATV’s
- Dirt Bikes
- Lawn Mowers (Only when lawn mower races are being held.)
You must follow the directions of the event staff at all times. Anyone that does not follow the instructions of the event staff will be removed from the event. HELMETS ARE REQUIRED
Can I participate in events if I do not pre-register?
Yes. You can still participate in all the events even if you do not pre-register, just go to the registration table the day of the event.
You can buy all the above passes at the event.
You will also be required to sign a liability waiver before you will be given your event pass.
If I don’t plan on participating in the Dirt Bike/ATV/SXS events but would like to attend Mountain Mud what is there to do?
We still have a variety of things for you to do if you don’t want to participate in the Dirt Bike/ATV/SXS events:
You can get in to watch the mud events and musical entertainment for $5
- Shop food and industry related vendors at the Mud Event area
- Attend the Dirt Bike/ATV/SXS parade in Town of Bradshaw
- Participate in the Human Mud Obstacle Course on Saturday (see schedule for times and price)
- Lawn Mower Drag Races
What type of weather can I expect? Will weather affect the event?
Mountain Mud is a rain or shine event. In Late May, the temperatures in McDowell County are typically in the upper seventies to low eighties. Overnight and in the evenings it cools down to upper fifties to low sixties.
